Nice car. BAE turbo kit, I have one of those manifolds for my turbo project (the 318i). What's this "too bad it's an M10" business

Meh, I don't think it would be too bad. Looks like the only extra item in the way is that big ol' pipe feeding the turbo inlet. Should be easy enough to remove.

M10 is a good engine. Pulls my 2002 around just great.
