Maybe not, but I sold my last M5 for $13,500 with 286,000 on it. I think it may be a sign of the times. I would not hesitate to pay $7k for that car.Looks nice, but I personally could not see myself shelling out $7k for an E28 that has gone northward of of 250k miles.

It is extremely doubtful that ANY S38 motor will go 450k miles with only regular maintenance...the timing components will grenade before then. 450,000 kilometers maybe...tomkatdo wrote:So what if its an s38,maybe the guy took great care and if it got to 250k,then it will get to 450k with proper maintanence!
if i had $7k id be on a plane nowThe Baron wrote:Looks nice, but I personally could not see myself shelling out $7k for an E28 that has gone northward of of 250k miles.

Do you by any chance have that gentleman’s phone number? As I have a prime piece of beach front property in the Phoenix Arizona area that I would like to sell himRonP wrote:Maybe not, but I sold my last M5 for $13,500 with 286,000 on it. OMG, clearly you are not familiar with the s38, hint, it was never designed to be a m20-B27tomkatdo wrote:I dont get peoples obsession with how many miles are on a car, there is an m5 with 110,000 miles that is in way worse shape than another with 300,000 i guarantee it,somewhere there is!There are owners who maintain their cars properly and then there are owners who wait for something to go bad before they do anything!I dont look at mileage, condition and maintanance are more important! So what if its an s38,maybe the guy took great care and if it got to 250k,then it will get to 450k with proper maintanence!
