This may be a strange way of finding a car, but I'm looking for an E28 that will be for sale around January or February. My requirements are not strict at all; basically I am looking for a 528e, 533i, 535i, or 535is with a good body (minimal to zero rust) and decent paint - white or delphin would be great. As far as the interior goes, I couldn't care less if it's got sport or comfort seats or if they are torn up, but nice carpet would be a huge plus, and if the carpet is black or charcoal that's even better. Cracked dashes are just a given, but a nice dash would be a bonus. Mechanically, I need a car that can at least drive up to my shop to receive a fresh engine. As I understand it, swapping an M30 into a 528e can be a bit of a hassle due to some differences with radiator mounts, coolant expansion tank mounts, air box mounts, etc, but I'll consider a 528e if it's in decent shape. I'm looking to spend upwards of $3500 for a good E28.
So... if you are planning on selling or just entertaining the thought of it, let me know! I'm in Colorado, but shipping is obviously a possibility for a decent car.
