Newly rebuilt Getrag 5 speed transmission
Rebuilt 3.46 Limited Slip Differential
Custom ported OE exhaust manifolds
Custom 2.5" single pipe exhaust with catalytic converter exits through OE muffler.
Short Shift Kit

Exterior
Burgundrot Red Exterior
14" Bottlecaps with new (less than 500 miles) Dunlop Graspic DS2 snow tires
16" E28 M5 wheels
(2) new Hankook Ventus R-S2 tires (225/50/16)
(2) of the same tires with ~20% tread left

Bilstein Sport Shocks
Bilstein Adjustable Sway bars
Front upper Strut brace

Interior
European Gauge Cluster
Tan leather rear seat
Tan carpet
Tan door panels/grab handles/etc.
Black Recaro Cloth seats with Alpina cloth inserts.

The dashboard is showing the typical cracks. It should be replaced or have a cover placed over it. There is a functioning dash-top vent.

Currently the A/C does not work. The lines have been closed/sealed off where the hardlines end above the passenger fender. There is no condenser, a/c pump, a/c dryer, etc.

Audio
Alpine CD/MP3/WMA AM/FM CD player in-dash
Ipod connector in glovebox
Sony Xplod Component speakers w/ crossovers (5.25") all around (8 total speakers)
Sony Xplod 8" subwoofer mounted under back seat
2 Amp's in trunk (1 large Sony for speakers, on smaller amp for sub)

Extra's
-Folder of receipts/parts/purchases/service for the past 7+ years. I'm talking about everything from oil changes, to ordering new valve stem covers, to rebuilding the diff...
-Car comes with an extra set of 14" OE bottlecap wheels with tires. Tires are not recommended for road use.
-Dual Brake Light wiring modification for better stopping visibility.
-Sunroof wind visor
-Extra brake rotors, rotors need to be turned to clean off surface rust.
-New battery-less SI Board

Condition
The exterior paint on the vehicle is in need of some TLC.
The car just had the following painted:
-Roof
-Hood
-Trunk
-Both front fenders
-Passenger rear door

The roof and trunk were painted because the clear coat was peeling off from sitting in the CA sun.
The hood & fenders were painted to repair some leading edge damage. The car was involved in a very light collision where it contacted the bumper of a pick-up truck. The bumper missed the front end of the car, and only hit the top edge of the hood, leading edges of the fenders, and dented the center of the radiator support.
There was absolutely ZERO frame damage. We replaced the core support as we had a spare, and it was a cleaner solution than trying to repair the damaged one.

Cosmetically, the exterior is an 7.5-8 out of 10. The new paint does not match 100%. If I keep this car, it will likely get a full repaint next year as I am OCD about my vehicles. The car needs a full repaint to look as good as it should.

There are 2 known spots of rust on this car:
-Lower left corner of rear window.
-Center of trunk opening below rear window. This appears to have been caused by water getting below the gasket.

The car drives straight and true and is an excellent commuter. Very comfortable on the highway and fun through the turns as well!
The exhaust is not too loud, and I'd wager barely over the OE sound. The SSK is nice and notchy, but not overly aggressive.

The odometer on this vehicle was broken, I have repaired it and it is now reading mileage again. While I do have a clean CA title for this car (NH does not title cars this old), I will be selling it as True Mileage Unknown. I DO have the previous CA title that would come with the car along with a Bill of Sale. The car just passed a NH State Inspection.

Recent Work
-2 new motor mounts
-New exhaust hangers
-Replaced starter
-New Fan clutch
-Full brake fluid flush
-Full coolant flush
-New windshield wipers (Bosch)

Price

I have many detailed photos besides the ones below I will email to any serious buyer.

Thank you for taking the time to read the entire post. Please feel free to post any questions, I will try to respond as soon as possible.

Kind Regards,
Christopher L.

I should also mention for those who feel the price is too high, you are buying a rust free, straight, clean e28 chassis. Add to that the amount of aftermarket & upgraded parts on the vehicle, and it would be difficult to replicate for the same money.

I will entertain reasonable offers...

I know pictures help sell cars, so I do apologize for not having the pictures ready at the time of this posting.

Thank you,
Chris

I have made some corrections/additions to the initial post.

Namely:
-Corrected Speaker types (Sony Xplod, NOT Rockford Fosgate)
-Added a list of recent maitenance/work

Car is only being sold because I've located another vehicle I'd like to purchase.

I am open to all reasonable offers.... you may be surprised at what I'd accept for the car. ;)

I am seriously motivated to sell this car.
Some items to note since initial sale post:

1) There has been some minor cosmetic damage to the European front valance. This will be repaired prior to the sale of the vehicle.
2) The car idles high (~1200rpm). I have not been able to track this down yet.
3) The starter should be replaced, it's making noise.

The above items will either be repaired within the next 2 weeks if all goes to plan, and the price will adjust accordingly, or they can be left as is, for the potential buyer to sort out.

Currently, I'll entertain offers over $4500 as the car sits.
Please feel free to make offers.

Thank you,
Chris

For the idle:

Try swapping out the ICM (next to the ECU in glovebox).
Also, check all your vacuum lines.

Thanks for the tip on the ICM. I'll look into this!

I've tried checking all the vacuum lines... replaced the intake boot, sprayed the hoses, etc. No such success yet.

Cheers,
Chris

If there is no interest in this car, it will be stripped and parted out following the winter. I'd much rather prefer to sell it whole.

Thanks,
Chris

I konw it's been a while but...
Have you sold the car yet or are you still contemplating parting it out? I am interested in the euro front valance and the euro headlights. Please let me know.
If not parting out yet, good luck with the sale as it is a great looking car and a lot of work has gone in to it.

Nope, not going to part it out anytime soon. I'm driving it every day. First time it's seen salt/sand/snow in its whole life.

It just spent 2 days in the shop being serviced...

They discovered the catalytic converter was clogged. This was causing what I deemed as absolutely deplorable gas mileage, and I must admit... piss-poor performance. (I thought all you guys were crazy when you claimed the euro engine was powerful... mine felt like a m20b25). Now with the cat unclogged, a valve adjustment, some front suspension work... the car really scoots.

I'm still tracking down the high idle. Even replacing the module hasn't solved it.

Thanks,
Chris

:bawl: God, I wish I wasn't on the other end of the country, cause I'd seriously get rid of Hoss for this car.

Good luck with the sale dude!
