1988 535i parts car

Post by hangerjn »

I wrecked my sweet 535 about a month ago, and I'm trying to either part it out or sell it. Here's the deal-

- destroyed passengerside rear end, totaled the car, but the front half of the car is relatively unscathed
-engine was unharmed, and I had just rebuilt and replaced all gaskets from the block up in January
-one week before I destroyed the car, I installed bilstein sport shocks and H&R lowering springs- all springs are ok, 3 of the shocks are untouched, one rear is toast.
-has 3 good unscratched 16" borbet sport wheels with kumho ecsta mx tires that had roughly 2,000 miles on them
-has factory trunk lip spoiler (black) no cracks great condition
-has polk momo component speakers (3 are perfect, one rear is toast), dual mtx 564 4 way amps, dual mtx 10" subs - all ok, 2007 alpine head unit

I would be happy to sell anything off this car or the whole thing, but it needs a roll back tow truck to move it. Email me for photos I have a bunch.

What kind of differential does it have? Is it in good shape?

Must have been smacked pretty good if one of the speakers got hammered.?

The usual questions, where are you located & is it 5spd or auto?

Need a heater/radiator actuator. P/N 64111380292 in the realoem list. It was used on "86 to '88 E28s. It is the unit that opens/closes the flap regulating the intake air from the hood vents.

I'm in Colorado. 40 miles south of Denver. Half way to Colorado Springs.

I think he meant the OP's location. I just drove through Larkspur two weeks ago, though.

Yes, wouldn't be the first time & with him having only 1 post here it was probably sold locally or something. It's a shame b/c I'm sure several of us could have helped him out.

I'd be up for the aluminum shift console and the sleeve that covers the guibo between the transmission and driveshaft.
