1987 535is 5spd, excellent condition NH for sale $5000
Hi, I'm selling my pride and joy. It's a lightly restored 1987 BMW 535is, 5spd, with almost every options. It has air conditioning, power steering, brakes, windows, sunroof, seats, cruise and trip computer. Everything on the car works. The cars interior was lightly restored with new carpet, seat covers, door panels, and was repainted in 2003. The car has absolutely no rust. It is from Texas and has only been in New Hampshire since August of 06'. It has very nice suspension on it that lowered the car about an inch. The wheels are 17" Borbet with Kumho tires. I would drive this car anywhere. The car's gooahjez were replaced with a european gauge cluster that does not show the true mileage. The true mileage on the car is approx. 150,000. This can be confirmed through Carfax.
Although it is very nice, it does have small problems. There is light on that indicates the coolant temperature sensor is not reading properly. I checked into it, and I guess it's a common problem. The rear windows operate up and down very slowly. The car was customized with european style bumpers, dash, seats, etc.. so the gauges are metric. Although the trip computer still reads miles/gallon. The car averages about 27 mpg combined. There are no hidden issues, as I drive this car every day and I will continue to until it is sold. Thanks for looking. e-mail for pics
I also have an LSD to go with it.
I'm not sure how to post the pictures....

Ok, this car just became available again. The buyer backed out!! He was absolutely adamant that he wanted the car. Now after two months of wiating on the deposit, he will not return phone calls or e-mails. Frustrating when people commit to something but don't have the decency to call to back out of it. It's up for sale again.
Damn - and I woulda* bought it, but that other "person" was said to have done so. I bought a '67 T-Bird instead (which is getting some work done on it), or I would be flying to NH this weekend.
I fell in like with those bumpers when I saw this car. Since then, I've found that they are the BMP Design fiberglass bumper and side skirts kit. I've also heard that that particular kit is a bitch to install, so all the better that the job's already done.
I have a lot of respect for the seller for being a nice guy and to trust the prospective owner's desire to buy the car. That's a lot of trust to wait over two months with another prospective buyer (me, in this case) waiting in the wings for it. And the other "buyer" is a shit for backing out.
Good luck with it. If I could scrape the cash together...
*coulda and woulda apply here. Shoulda was out of my hands.
