I am having a tough time finding numbers on the E34/E32 installations of the TCD turbo systems... anyone have a clue what to expect....

also, what parts should I NOT replace if I'm getting the turbo.... don't want to throw away good parts when it gets boosted.

i made 255 rwhp at 6 psi. http://www.icsperformance.com/andrewc%20dyno.htm . i think they applied some correction to this graph though b/c we had one or two higher runs.

Not really. Figure the car made ~180rwhp stock. Gain of 75rwhp at 6psi = 12.5rwhp per psi of boost

Craig gained 102rwhp from 8psi = 12.75rwhp per psi of boost.

A quick note to let you guys know that my E34 made around 305 at the wheels at 12 pounds of boost on a warm day running a little lean,

Wow, Dave. What are you doing online? Dave has a TCD S1 also with some other goodies. I predict a 340rwhp+ dyno pull coming this month at 13psi with the water injection. Welcome to the board.

intercooler isnt ready yet. i am inline for one of todd's intercoolers as well. i will be running water injection with the intercooler (or atleast that is the plan for now). dave, tell me more about your winjection system. i was pricing them out and some are pretty damn expensive.

I don't believe in water injection.... while it does work, I'm sure there's other ways of making boost without pinging etc.

the way i understand it, winjection is just another detonation preventative. keeps temps down and helps to increase performance. pretty much does the same thing as an intercooler, just in a different way right?

Hey Todd,

Thought that I might get your attention ... I can't help but brag a little from time to time.
Regardless of the differing opinions on water injection, I am able to run a solid 15 psi smoothly and quietly. There does seem to be very strong increase in power as soon as you crest about 14 psi.

The car clearly outruns an E46 M3 and have yet to find a new M5. I will be on Mosport with supercharged Mustangs in June, which will be a rip!

And then last night my oil pump quit, so I have an Easter weekend job ahead of me.

And, I designed my own water injection system. It's 2 stage via one nozzle first spray at 2 psi and full blast at about 7 or 8. I have not measured the volume but it runs at 65psi and absolutely works. Todd build me a custom charge air pipe which is cooler to the touch downstream of the water injection point. It of course works best on cool dry days.

The thinking behind the two stage is to make sure any bubbles are flushed from the system before full boost arrives

I don't know about you guy's but I would be really suprised if my car does not put down more than 320+ @ 10psi.
I just drove the car 900+miles yesterday and beat every thing on the road RX8,E500,s500,E46 330i,350Z and "M"325is..........HAHAHA

thanks dave. i looked at a few kits and the one that is def a reputable kit is way overpriced (AA for $750) so I will see what george over at ICS has to say.

Thanks Todd,

The head repair went well and now I know that the drive nut on the oil pump sprocket has spun off and is sitting in the oil pan. A new pump goes in tonight and or Friday. As soon as the summer tires go on I will get into Tag Motorsports for a dyno event.

[QUOTE="TCD"]Thanks. running well it is. at half throttle i can keep a 12.1 A/R any more and it gets rich I think my TPS needs a little adjustment I have been playing with every thing to see what changes i can make . but when i get back from vaction i will set boost at 15 PSI then see if i can pull off a better A/R.

I guess it is running well? Congrats on the quick headgasket replacement!
