HELP - e31 control arm compatibility?

Hey Guys, May have made a stupid mistake here.

I've set about going through my suspension components, and in doing so decided to upgrade to E31 control arms.

Only thing is, I ordered E31 upper control arms and E28 lower control arms - I've made a mistake, right?? Are E31 uppers compatible with E28s?

Part numbers:
31121139999 E31 Upper control arm, left (Delphi)
31121140000 E31 Upper control arm, right (Delphi)
31121139987 Lower control arm, left (Lemforder)
31121139988 Lower control arm, left (Lemforder)

Arghhhh, feeling like an idiot.

Shoot, yes, the ones that are compatible for sure are the lowers, that are aluminum. Not sure about uppers...
Where did you order from? maybe you can get the order cancelled or something

Pffft yeah that’s what I thought.

Well at least I haven’t opened anything so I can hopefully return for the right stuff.

Yes, e31 lowers for sure. Besides being Aluminum they have a stronger swivel joint.

The uppers that fit are all steel. OEM may may not be available any more. While doing all this, have you considered Moosehead bushings for them?

I sourced my parts from Angry Ass.

Thanks. The steel uppers are e28 specific, though, right?

I've looked into Moosehead. Mine is a daily driver setup... how do you find the ride quality to be with Moosehead bushings?
