Needing to clean and lube window mechanism(s)
Suggestions for what product to use ..
1) to clean the old grease out
2) new lube - silicone spray?

Also need to free up a stuck/sticky door latch in situ
Suggestions? PB blaster?

Thanks

Gawd how time flies. Seems like it was just yesterday I was...

Anyway, a strong solvent to clean the old grease off, like maybe paint thinner, more likely lacquer thinner, or brake cleaner, ideally with a organic vapor respirator, and some time and paper towels. It's not gonna come off happily. Regreasing I did use GP grease, but in retrospect I'd use a light lithium grease. Maybe a light silicone grease like Super Lube. I did, but you don't need a HD wheel bearing grease, it's counterproductive.

Thanks Mike

Would you know what the sticky black adhesive is that is used to hold the “vapour barrier “ .. might as well tidy up things while I’m making a mess

Its Butyl sealant tape. You can buy strips of it or in a tube.

Some also just replace the original vapor barrier with contact paper. I went this route and its much less messy.

Now to figure out why both rear windows stopped working at the same time after a short drive.. ( the list seems to always grow )
