Yesterday I stopped by a place to look into something for a house project and a lady working there said she liked my car. Then she says her dad had an 87 like it but one with the special M motor or something. She said leather interior and all original and it was his baby since new in 87. It has some issues and wasn't running or unsafe to drive. since her dad passed away. Her mom has some health issues and finally decided to get rid of the car but the only person really interested took it away for $1000. All the details I know but even if a rust free non-running 535 why can't I stumble across that. She said she had some pictures she could look for and I may call her back to ask more about it perhaps even attempt to track the buyer down.

Got back in touch. Black car, 5 speed, now I'm almost on the edge of my seat....but a burgundy interior. Had been moved outside to make room in the garage for mom's 740 and wasn't running or couldn't be driven due to a head gasket or some kind of leak. If in even decent condition it was certainly better than a $1k car though.
