For Sale: 1987 BMW 535is - Euro Conversion - Rebuilt and Upgraded (Recently owned by a member on this forum)
Overview:
This 1987 BMW 535is is a classic gem with a 12/87 build date, boasting a unique blend of style and performance. With approximately 187,XXX miles, this car has been meticulously cared for, and I've added only about 5,000 miles in the last 3.5 years.
History:
PO build thread - viewtopic.php?t=154258
Body:
The car underwent a glass-out, trim-off paint job in its original diamond black metallic color in 2017. The body is solid with no rust, and the original glass has been replaced with a stunning set of bronze-tinted glass. Euro bumpers, headlights, turns, and fogs add an extra touch of elegance. The car's Euro conversion is evident, and the overall aesthetic is enhanced by new rubber seals, fuzzy window seals, and a fresh euro. Comes with BBS RS rims.
Mechanical:
This BMW is a joy to drive, thanks to numerous mechanical upgrades:
Holy Grail Blade Fuse retrofit
New battery
Front-end suspension components replaced with BMW or Lemfoerder parts
Euro Mtech springs and KYB adjustable shocks
Rebuilt injectors by Cruzin Injectors
Stainless steel brake lines by Garagistic
3.25 LSD for enhanced performance
Boyeson exhaust with cat removed for straight pipes
Euro 50mm downpipes
Interior:
Tastefully upgraded interior:
Front sport seats recovered
New seat belt receptacles
Custom extended leather on the dash, center console, shifter boot, e-brake console, and door caps
Sport steering wheel and shift knob in excellent condition
Odometer gears replaced and working
USB port next to the original radio
Comfortable and stylish Coco mats
Rebuilt AC system with new compressor, drier, condenser, hoses, pressure switch, and expansion valve
Misc Issues:
While this BMW is in fantastic condition, there are a few minor issues:
RPM gauges do not work
Fuel gauge is not accurate
Board computer does not function
Passenger rear window rolls down but does not roll up
Price: Asking $16,000
