Reason for a salvage title could be an insurance theft (and subsequent recovery) claim. If it runs well, would be a fun project to bring to the next level while you enjoy driving it. Those wheels look good.

Thanks for the comment, love the car and am starting to get attached to it esp with those style 9 wheels.
Car passed smog two weeks ago, indicating healthy compression numbers.
