Hello E28 community,

I'm looking to purchase a well maintained E28 M5. If anyone has one they are considering parting with, please let me know. I am in San Diego, but have bought cars from as far as New York. Well, Belgium.

Any leads are much appreciated. Thank you!

You should contact Carl Nelson at La Jolla Independent BMW if you've not done so already.
If anyone in SoCal has a bead on an E28 M5 it would be him.
He would also be your man for a PPI and servicing; he has God-like status in the Classic & Vintage BMW community.

I'm in San Diego too! Although I don't want to part with my E28 M5, I have a ton of E28 friends in San Diego and can ask around. Definitely ask Carl at La Jolla Independent BMW.

I’m thinking of selling my E28 M5. Nice California car, but now on the East Coast. No rust anywhere. If you have an interest, please let me know.

My M5 will be for sale in the next 60 days or so. It has 300k miles but has been very well maintained. I won't know a price until it has been checked out at La Jolla Independent (including compression numbers). The first pic is the most recent.

I can personally attest that this car and its' care & feeding has been the best; I've know Chas and this car for well over a decade and have never seen this car not it its' top condition. Whomever gets this car will be inheriting not only a great car but the result of one of the best owners.

I’ll be very interested to see how it is priced to have a clue how to price mine. I’ve decided I should sell it. Thanks.
