SOLD FS: 1988 BMW 535i

I am offering my '88 535i to this group first.
You can call me (904-864-3008) to discuss it, and after talking with you, I am happy to send any amount of pictures/video/Face Time you would like. The car is in Jacksonville, Fl.
Drives beautifully - very well sorted and ready to go to a new owner. Pulls like a freight train on nitro....
I have learned a LOT from this Board and have made new friends on it, and always appreciative of its support.
The basics of this e28:
This is an originally one family owned, out of North Carolina e28 that I have owned for about a year. NO RUST. 132,000 true miles.
I have done a LOT of work to it, although it started out very nicely sorted....but as always, still had some needs. When we talk, I am happy to tell you all that has been done.
Cirrus Blau - very nice, well preserved. Pearl Beige interior - and no, it does NOT have sport seats...still has the comfort seats with very nice condition leather.
Other things have been done to it, but here are some of the highlights:
e12 Euro bumpers - they look very nice. MY opinion is they look actually better than the "normal" e28 Euro bumpers. The e12 Euros are slimmer and seem to just cut the lines of the car well. Again, my opinion.
I am in the middle of converting the A/C from R12 to R134...I have done the entire inside the car part (meaning pulling out the interior, the dash, etc. to get to that oh so fun A/C box and pulling the evaporator (flushing and compressed air drying out) and replacing the expansion valve with brand new). Trust me, if you have not done this part before, you do not want any part of it. But hey, now it is done. You're welcome.
The dash is all back together now - and everything functions as it should...the pipes into the engine compartment have been fitted with new green R134 O-rings. What is left is everything in the engine bay as far as A/C related - which I am doing now, but happy to sell the car to you for a lower price without that part of the job being completed. I have all the parts, including the hoses, receiver/drier, compressor, larger condenser (already fitted)...just needs install, vacuum and fill. You get all the parts regardless....and a lot of other e28 stuff I have.
It is $23K with the A/C fully sorted, or $21.5K as is/where is on the A/C.
I am taking into account that I have done all the MAJOR things that you will not have to worry about. Of course you will still tinker with it, as we all do...but you would be getting a hell of a base with which to start.
I drive it about three days a week and it is garage kept on both ends of my commute.
Sorry not to post pictures - but if you are seriously interested, you will call me, meet me on the phone and have a great conversation and we can go from there.
I promise you will not be disappointed if an e28 is your thing, and you are looking for that "one."
