Can anyone chime in on how to bring this car into California?

Sorry Calspyderman, i did not see this until now.

Its really quite easy to bring the car in... i had posted some CBP links on importing. Basically because the car's over 25 years old, its exempt from DOT and EPA fees, 1 form to fill out. Then there is 2.5% duty on the sale price for federal tax. So, if you spent $10K on the purchase, duty would be $250....however, you are allowed an $800 exemption, so that takes care of that.

Then because it gets a combined 26mpg, the EPA gas guzzler tax is not applicable... so all in all... it's just shipping to the west coast.

If you're interested in the car, I can forward your contact details on to the buyer....

thanks
