The car is right at home in the barn there with all the tractors and equipment. Love it.

Yeah, that barn is such a mess.

One day it'll make a nice garage....but there's a lot of crap in there that needs to be tossed.

Oh man, I just can't quit.

Dad picked up a Bronzit 1986 524td driver with a Burgundrot 1985 524td "parts car".

Parts car is in nice condition save for the random trim bits that have been taken. Basically rusty free.

Fuk.

So dad gave me the Burgundrot one in exchange for some Bronzit body panels I have. His also has a boost leak as the PO reused the intake mani gaskets...so I'll replace those.

As for my "new" one....It'll take some work, but I'll suss it out. Think I may just want to hot rod it. Thought about taking the engine and bolting it into the Range Rover, but the body on the car isn't rotted out.....so....yeah. IDK what to do. Have the paint to fix on the TDS, but I'm more of a mechanical guy....so the Burg one will be easier for me to deal with.

Fuk.

Here we go.....

Overhere in Holland I know some guys with Rangies and Disco's who put in a M21 and even a M51 with M21 pump. Runs way better than the VM or TD4/5.

Interesting.

I was thinking the M21 would be a bit too anemic for the Rangie....plus I've got all the v12 shit laying around.

Once we pick up the cars I'll start work on it. Polish it all up too. I love Burgundrot.

Probably end up pulling the engine out and resealing it. Who knows. My e30 is on the priority list right now....but if I can make this TD run I'll DD it and save mad money on fuels.

Woah, so I did some things to this car recently.

I actually registered it and got it on the road. New tires. MHE bushings and new UCAs. AC compressor, controller relay, receiver drier, and now the AC works. Installed the bumpers and trim. Made a "proper" intake for it. Played with le smokey screw a bit. Ordered a fuel pin. Replaced the TO and pilot bearings chasing a "trans" noise, then replaced the trans. Noise still there. Car drives fine, shifts fine, etc. It's a blast to drive.

No pics coz hosting pics sucks and everything is terrible.
