528e control arm bushing

Post by brrrrrrrrrian »

Hey all,

new to board and just bought a stock '87 528e.
Some steering wheel shake has developed when I am braking so I am looking into refreshing the front suspension (and why not the rear while I'm at it), but as I'm investigating what to buy fcpeuro have control arm kits with the specific control arm bushings linked below included in a kit that says it fits my car, but when I visit that specific listing it says that bushing does not fit my car.

There are other parts in the "kits" that say they don't fit my vehicle when I visit the specific parts page.

My question is - what control arm bushings DO fit my car?

links to bushings that say they don't fit my vehicle:

the kit I'm using for reference that says it does fit my vehicle:

Welcome! Please read and heed the Forum and Tech FAQ sections!

This site is your friend when you need to know about parts interchange: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select

I'm not going to give you a direct answer, but ask you to do searches here and to look at RealOEM before asking further.

I'd suggest Moosehead Engineering bushings, which are from one of our own board members: https://mhe.company.site/ They're more expensive and increase NVH a bit, but their longevity is unmatched and they're rebuildable.
