There were multiple folks who engaged a particular spammer today:

- saruma

- 1st 5er <<< REPEAT OFFENDER

- someone else who I didn't happen to note

Folks, when you do this, besides enticing the spammer, it forces us (mostly me these days) to do multiple edits on the thread. Please don't make extra work for me, simply REPORT THE POST!

The latest person to feed the spammers is willyv124, who quoted the entirety of a spam post and commented "this is actually a scam, do not contact this person."

Folks, do not quote a spam post -- simply report it! Quoting a spam post means extra effort to go in and edit your post where you quoted the spammer.

Mitigation for this "crime" goes to John in VA, though, as he reported multiple posts by this guy.

Thank you to the mods for posting the banner about spammers because I trust this ^^^ is what we are talking about. It seems that this Collinsjame has just posted the title of my post into some generic message because the sentence does not really make sense. Secondly, this member has only joined a couple weeks back and has 3 posts.

Mods: Please check out this member and see if they need "sorting out".

Private messages from a new member that direct you to contact someone offline for parts is a pretty common tactic these days, so proceed with extreme caution if you get one.

I had banned by email, this is a different email. Now he's banned by username.

That being said, DO NOT DO AN ENTIRE QUOTE OF A MESSAGE THAT INCLUDES THE EMAIL! I didn't catch it the first time, but noticed it the SECOND time you did it. I've redacted the email from both times you quoted the message. If for some reason you still have either of the PMs, delete them, and also do not respond to him.
