Hello everyone,
Since noone in Europe is selling M30 thermostat housing offset plates anymore, I took it upon myself and designed a better version.
The two main improvements are:
1. Perfectly matched to the original gasket (instead of a rectangle, that doesn't actually follow the M30 port shape and is smaller in cross sectional area)
2. Stepped design instead of sudden change
I put in the extra work with the intention of allowing better coolant flow.
CNC machined from 6082 aluminium, here in Europe. Comes with mounting hardware (and gaskets, if I can source them).
The price will be 70EUR for pre-orders, and 85EUR after.
I should have them in ~1.5 weeks.
Let me know if you need one, I'm only planning on making one batch.
Shipping to US is 20EUR
Shipping to Germany and middle EU 15EUR
Shipping to UK 20EUR
Shipping to AUS 25EUR

Re: M30 thermostat housing offset plates
Interesting.
Something I've not seen before.
Why is this needed and how does it affect hose orientation?

Re: M30 thermostat housing offset plates
This is sometimes/often needed when people fit webers or ITBs as the upper hose, the housing, or both are often in the way. It simple offsets the whole housing 15mm to make more room.1st 5er wrote: Jul 26, 2024 8:28 AM Interesting.

Re: M30 thermostat housing offset plates
Hi all!
The offset plates are finished!
I'll do them for 75EUR instead of 85 for everyone on Mye28.com
If you want one, shoot me a PM, or: info@gangl-motorsport.com
Thanks!
Dave
Re: M30 thermostat housing offset plates
Dave - you may want to advertise these on e9coupe.com. People who want to fit sidedraft Webers may be interested. Its almost impossible to reach the air flow adjustment on the number 1 carb throat with the stock tstat housing.
