Bmw E28

Post by ramiroflores »

Hello everyone,

I'm Ramiro Flores from England, I'm an efi enthusiast and have been using engine management systems (VEMS) for a number of years, especially on the Bmw E28 v.
Since the S38b36 has the b38's cylinder head, I ran the injection and ignition completely sequentially using Camsync. I'm in the process of adjusting the VE and IGN maps.

Now I'm implementing the air intake resonance cap control according to the tune. That's when I encountered the limitations of my knowledge in adjusting the VE and IGN panels during flap activation and thus shortening the length of the track.

This is one of the reasons I signed up to learn/read more about some of the setups/EMS Boards/software and their tunes.
Best regards
Shawn D.

I see this is your first post -- welcome! Please read and heed the Forum FAQ and Tech FAQ sections.

In the future, please create titles that are relevant to the subject. You can edit this one, and I'd suggest something like "New Member Looking for Tuning Info/Discussions for An S38."

Most excellent title to a thread. We'll be following this one to see how you make out. A B36 should be just what these cars need.

Welcome to the group!

I know a lot about these cars, but you're over my head on this one. I'd suggest searching some on both the M5 subforum and the Forced induction subforum. In trying to tune turbo cars some of the guys have done some standalone systems.
