My car is running to rich and its kinda taking all the fun out of it. How hard would it be to put one of these into my car??

The site says it's not made for our generation m30. I need a standalone system to adjust my fuel. I'm burning too much gas and the engine boggs when i go to WOT are heavy boost. I believe its the RRFPR.
How easily is it to get a standalone on my turbo m30?

Megasquirt is great, but unless you can find a tuner to do it for you, you'll need to do a lot of reading, and understanding.
You might try tightening the spring in your afm to lean the afr.
good luck!

I'm running a Mspnp on my turbo m30. Megasquirt has start up maps on their website for the m30. I got mine driving with said maps and eventually got it dyno tuned. Runs great

Well how hard it will be depends on how you decide to install megasquirt. The option you listed is probably the easiest but if you have a non m1.3 setup now(most likely) then you will have extra work to do no matter what.
Typically for the e28 you have to convert to motronic 1.3, mainly to gain the front crank sensor. You could just buy a premade harness or if your handy with wring just add the front crank sensor and repin it for a 55 pin bosch. For a turbo i would suggest adding an IAT sensor.
Ofcourse you can be cheaper and build your megasquirt for like 300 bucks but that involve alot of research and soldering.

I’m not lazy....but I don’t really feel like building up a MS system. Honestly there was a guy ....I believe his first name was Paul and he was the m30 MS guru and he would build a PNP MS for some money. Does anyone know if he still builds them and if so....where he might be found?

You’re not going to find anyone with a truly plug and play MS ECU for a pre-B35 M30 because you need the crank trigger wheel and CPS at a minimum for any MS build.
As stated above, it’s a common and fairly simple swap to convert your whole harness to a Motronic 1.3 harness including the dampener and CPS with bracket from a B35. At that point you can run a fully prebuilt and plug and play MSPNP2 for the M30B35 and M20B25 for about $800. That’s what I run on my M90 block and it’s clean and straightforward.
