Easy way to post pics?

Post by dsw99a »

Im a member of a few other forums. And on all of them im able to simply post pics straight from my computer files, why cant we make it simple and easy to do here? I feel like this is a top notch forum and have been a member for some years now, Lets demand an easier fix, do we need to have sponsors or something, its really confusing and problematic. keep it simple stupid. Nope, the uploader is gone. Peter discontinued it recently. Still, not difficult at all. Load it to an external hosting site, such as
http://imgur.com/ or
http://postimage.org/
Neither of them require registration and are free. Upload, copy the link, and paste it between Img/Img. Easy. Lots of others, Flicker, Picassa, Photobucket and many more I don't know. The two I linked seem like the least BS.

Please don't use Imgur for anything but photos you are confident have a (very) short life. Imgur deletes photos that have not been viewed in 6 months. This sucks for the person who uses search like a good boy, finds your thread and your nice pic is gone. I have not read the terms of use for postimage, but ill bet they are the same. These sites also restrict photo size, limiting the ability to retrieve full resolution photos.

This is why I prefer Flickr: They never delete photos (unless you delete them) and they don't do fucked up things like show "errors" if more then 10 people find your photo interesting. Flickr supports full resolution photos. Flickr is free. It's UI for posting is not the best, but it does directly support copy/paste of bbcode img tags.

You would have thought integrating some type of pic uploader with this new version of MyE28 would have been a no-brainer. You'd be wrong.

As others have said, this site is dying.
