exhaust gas temps?

On cruise control at 70mph temp will stay at 1200. If I accelerate it will go up to 1400. I just got the turbo still so working out issues(AFM). I have been told you want to keep the temp between 1200 and 1300. I am currently running 9 lbs boost. Any suggestions.

From what I know -- heat = power = boost -- I don't know how much is too much though...

presumably your running lean. try fattening up your fuel under boost till the temps drop back down into your target area.
