I need the part number on the side of the 745i k27's for a quote on a rebuild -- does anyone have them?
I can't exactly just open my hood and look at it....

Thanks in advance

why not just buy the center section from Melett in the UK and rebuild it yourself? The part is about 400.00 shipped.

Well -- they need to know the part # of the K27 since the turbo differs between the porsches and bmw

Tj,

We did a group buy a while back thru 745.com and found that there are two different part numbers on the turbos. If you do a search on Melett, you should be able to find the two numbers. I don't recall what the difference in the two was. But, it was not a M102 to M106 thing. It would be best to verify the number on your turbo. BTW, I think the center section cost me about $290 including shipping.

Damon, was this with the group buy discount?

I just found this company up in Denver that rebuilds turbos as well:

TJ,

Here's another company to look at for a rebuild. They're local to me in Houston and did the rebuild on the turbo in my daily driver. IIRC, a simple rebuild at that time, about 4 years ago was $250. I had them do the rebuild, upgrade the bearings and upgrade to a 14G compressor wheel, all for $650.

Yep, but, I may not need it yet though. I checked my turbo and there does not appear to be any play in it. I thought it was a good price at the time, so, I bought one as a spare.

Well I recieved my "new" turbo. Its used, but has no play what so ever. Here is what the tag reads. Lemme know if I got anything special. I paid $325 for the turbo from a friend.

KUND.-NR. D
GROSSE K27-3064G1190
ATL-NR. 83 268 0588
AUSF.-NR. 5327970 6484

Standard K27 but was told it might have the upgraded trim. How can I tell?

here is the specs that are on a tag on the intake side

KUND NR - K27-30646
LADER NR - 88 572 0548
AUSF NR - 5327 710 0500

The other was the take on the outside of the intake side.
Turbo is almost brand new. A steal for $325.
